Mesh Solutions
The main benefit of using a MESH network is the excellent coverage provided by the multiple mesh nodes
connecting together to form the “mesh”. Any wireless device falling within the bounds of the mesh network
can connect to any of the mesh nodes, typically the one providing the strongest signal. Because multiple
wireless nodes are connected together to form the mesh, the Single Point of Failure (SPF) element is
reduced massively. If a single node fails, the wireless device connects to the nearest operational node. A
Wireless mesh network also ensures the data path to the backhaul point is maintained, switching nodes as
necessary to pass the data.
The SILVERNET wireless MESH system uses an advanced algorithm to enhance the data throughput and
reduce time-outs from the centre to edge-of-network. The system, can also simultaneously support wireless
hotspot coverage. SILVERNET MESH provides wireless broadcast access and high bandwidth for
applications such as audio/data/video, Municipal Administration and Public Security. Each wireless
node can self-configure and connect automatically to the network and dynamically optimises traffic path
routes, ensuring network stability and throughput. The system is Self-Healing, which means that network
failures can be repaired automatically, ensuring that overall performance and usability remains unaffected.
SILVERNET MESH is available as CONNECT 1 and CONNECT 2 systems, and the ingenious
SILVERCLOUD mesh monitoring and management system.

SilverCloud is a cloud-based management utility
which makes installing and monitoring a
SilverNet MESH system as quick and easy as
possible. SilverCloud can be accessed from
any internet connection, anywhere, reducing the
need for site attendance. This enables the user
to have complete control of their wireless

management at multiple sites simultaneously.
